Beat Making Programs For Making Your Own Rap and Hip-Hop Music

Love of music, passion, curious to learn something new and an sense for music are all needed for making your own beats. But you will also want to get some sort of a good software to run it. This article will give you an idea of what is out in the wide world of beat making. These are, in my opinion, as well as those of many of my friends and colleagues, the five of the best available beat making programs. They will transform your PC into a professional level production studio. All it takes is your own drive, energy, passion...and yes, a bit of learning and hard work.

We have been making my own hip-hop beats for quite a few years now. The technology behind creating rap music changed a lot before we even started, and has changed even more since we began because of the advent of all the power that can be packed into a PC for creating, arranging, sampling and editing hip-hop beats and music.

Now there are free beat making solutions available, but let's face it, you get what you pay for. These beat making options are free for a good reason, and that reason is sometimes that they suck. They are free for a reason. If you want your beats to be formulaic and tinny junk, by all means check them out. If you are new to beat making, they may even be viable for you to help you get the "hang" of it. But at best they are just practice until you can get one of these "real" solutions.

1.DR Drum

There are good beat-making software, there are some truley great beat maker programs and then there is DR. Drum. Dr, Drum Is like the giant in this industry standing around all the smaller and lesser, "wannabe" programs.

The only one that comes close to Dr. Drum, in our opinion, is FL Studios. But old Fruity Loops studio has a few drawbacks. Mainly it is not as intuitive to the new user and it is a fair piece more expensive. It may still be the "right" one for you, but If we were just starting with beat-making, we would go with the Dr. Drum.

What makes the Dr. Drum Software so special? The fact of the matter, is that all the items on this list are decent. None of these are "bad" choices, but to put a fine point on it, Dr. Drum is better for three main reasons. First of all, it offers more options then all of the other programs on the list, with the possible exception of FL Studios. The second reason is that it is geared for people just starting out. Some of these programs expect you to have a little bit more, "baseline" knowledge. It seems to me that this great beat maker is made with a clarity of purpose the others on this list are not made with. It is easier to use and far more intuitive. Finally, Dr. Drum has higher quality sound samples than almost all of the competition. This is a big deal if you want to have the best sounding beats out there.

Both Dr. Drum and Sonic Producer have easy to use interfaces. As do as many other beat making software in the making software. I know Sonic Producer and Dr. Drum the best, so they seems the most intuitive to me, but frankly when you become used to an interface, of course it seems to be the best.

2. Sonic Pro

Sonic Producer is still one of the top beat makers you can around. Like Dr Drum it has a giant library of sounds with over two thousand unique high quality sounds at your fingertips. It has a 16-track sequencer, piano key-set, drum pad.

It is my opinion that this is a great option for those people who are at a beginner level. If you have never made music before, Sonic Producer or Dr. Drum have to be the best, but for professional level the quality of the MP3 sounds is notably lower than the high quality WAV sounds you get with Dr Drum. Sonic Producer is a great product, but it has one little deficiency with that should be a selling point for anyone wanting to do professional level beat making with the quality of the compressed samples and output beats. But regardless, Sonic Producer makes a Strong #2 Product.

3.FL Studio

FL studio is a complete studio in box. It does everything that you could want it to do: compose, arrange, record, edit, mix and master professional quality music. This is the one beat making tool on the list that may be better as an overall music producer than the Dr. Drum.

The key to this image line software is the lifetime updates. If you are going to stick with the making for a long time, this software can really be worth the investment, if it is possible that it may be something that might not interest you, or that is a passion that will fade, is probably better to get one of the other options.

4.BTV SOLO

BTV Solo is one of the music production software created out of the idea of an award-winning producer and songwriter Dallas Austin. It gives you the very same thing he uses to make hits. Are you up for some hip hop and electronic beats? If you are, then this product is the right partner for you to create that vibe. All you need is your computer which you can easily turn into a studio with this software.

Basically, everything that you need to make an incredible music is offered by the BTVSOLO. You don’t need to use anything other than your computer keyboard to instantly make a dance, hip hop, rock, r&b, pop or any kind of music that suits your taste. And even if you’re a beginner, there are training videos provided as well as live support straight from real producers and engineers.
